Beantown Bedding is a brand of eco-disposable bed sheets that come from nature and return to nature.
Beantown Bedding® is certified by the USDA's Biopreferred® program as 100% Biobased. This means it’s produced with hardwood fibers that are grown in responsibly managed forests independently certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®.
These soft, botanic sheets are made with traceable inputs and raw materials like TENCEL™, which uses 20 times less water, 70% less land, and produces 10 times more yield than cotton. TENCEL™ is produced in a process that efficiently uses resources and has a low ecological impact. For this reason it received the 2002 European Award for the Environment, winning the "Technology Award for Sustainable Development". Furthermore, in the TENCEL™ closed-loop manufacturing process, all solvents are non-toxic and are 99.7% recovered and recycled.
Beantown Bedding® plays an important role in the circular economy, conserving resources throughout the life cycle and providing for responsible disposal. Some bedding is made with recyclable materials, but theirs is recyclable. It's also chemical-free, biodegradable and compostable, and has been certified by DIN Certco, the European counterpart to the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). By eliminating laundry, Beantown Bedding® helps to save the planet by conserving water and energy and reducing carbon emissions. Even shipping is carbon neutral.
